THE Definitive Guide to Vacation Poo

At first I was confused. Pooing at Thanksgiving is a given. And who doesn't need to go poo at Christmas? One bite of my cousin, Vivian's famous fruitcake will have you crab-walking to the toilet. And I don't even want to debate the merits of eating too many Mike and Ikes at Halloween.
But I digress. Imagine my embarrassment when I started a discussion during my 12 step program for public pooing. Instead of talking about pooing while shooting off fireworks on July 4th, my Scottish friend, Hamish, gently corrected my American ignorance and told me holiday means vacation.
Still this book is a handy manual for vacation cleansing. The entry on nude beaches deserves special recognition as well as hand shaking in certain countries.

Let my personal experience guide you here. The pictures can be quite misleading.
First of all, and much to my surprise this isn't a book about eating Mexican food on Cinco de Mayo as might be understood by the picture and the title. Coincidentally, you'll likely find as I did that wearing a sombrero whilst sitting in the LOO doesn't help one bit. In fact a really big sombrero can often get in the way and if memory serves, can ultimately cause a really nasty mess. I don't want to talk about it anymore.
Second, taking a dump in a urinal only LOOKS cool. Yet it is so not recommended for a variety of reasons, chief of which is that you will only find out too late that there's no toilet paper around. And you get really weird looks, even in bars on drunk night. Go ahead and ask me how many places have my picture circled on their "banned board". Who knew?
Neither is it advised to crouch with your butt 6 inches off the toilet. Unless you are dedicated to a really long log that slides gracefully down into the water, sitting up too high only allows small round poo to canonball at accelerated speed into the water, causing severe slashback to come up, bounce off your balls, out of the toilet, and down into your undies. What does a person do then? This is a topic for an entirely new book, one with preferably better designed pictures.
